Picea omorika, new growth

New growth is apparent on the branches of this Serbian spruce. This lovely conifer is distinguished by its tall, narrow form and silver-striped stomata—the undersides of the needles. Because it is handsome, pest-resistant and happens to grow everywhere, Picea omorika is a Great Plant Pick.
Find our specimen at the center of the upper rose garden.
